Premise of the drawings is loosely based on an old Korean folktale of special rocks that gives immortality and eternal health when devoured. They can be found in the high mountains, and become malleable enough to eat when cooked for a long time. Monks and others have ventured on long journeys in search of this mythical rock.

The Mythical Rock Series is loosely based on an old Korean folktale of special rocks that gives immortality and eternal health when devoured. They can be found in the high mountains, and become malleable enough to eat when cooked for a long time. Monks and others have ventured on long journeys in search of this mythical rock. Strange encounters occurred on the journey have made many legends and stories themselves over many years.
